Fall Foxglove Seedlings

Posted on Nov 01, 2009 by DaMan

After a month or so, I have potted up the little foxglove seedlings and we will see how they do. To recap, I decided to do an experiment with Foxglove this year, sprinkling some seeds in one of my larger black plastic pots and letting them sit in semi-shade (with the occasional watering._

The goal here was to see if I could get some foxglove started fairly easily, as opposed to going through the whole seedling process that I have been doing over the years. This method would allow for quick and easy seed starting and (hopefully) give me established plants to try next Spring.

The key will be to see how well they do over the Winter. For this experiment, I am currently planning to leave them in a semi-sheltered location. If this works, that's one seed type that I can forego in my seeding operations.
